ENGL-260 Introduction to Literary Studies (Benedict)

Fall 2023

Getting Started

Literary studies primarily focus on written works of literature and the authors who created those works. There are a range of sources available in the Trinity Library to support research in this area. We have books on literary criticism, biographies about authors, as well as the literary texts themselves. We also have primary sources created by the authors and their contemporaries which reveal their personal sides beyond their written works.

This guide is an introduction to some of those resources which you will need to complete your research in this class.

In addition to resources on a book shelf or in a database, librarians are here to guide your research and direct you to where the best resources may be found. Please feel free to make an appointment with me if you have any questions or encounter difficulties in the process. It's not a simple process, but it's always good to ask questions!
