From Purdue University's Online Writing Lab (OWL) this resource provides detailed information on citing sources using a variety of formats including APA, MLA, Chicago, ASA, AMA and IEEE styles. OWL also contains writing resources and instructional material for faculty and students.
As with any other sources that you use for your academic research papers and projects, material derived from Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, must also be cited with proper notes, references, and for some citation styles, bibliographies.
Generative AI material may include, but is not limited to text, images, data and statistical analyses, video and audio content.
Each citation style has its own recommendations and examples for citing generative AI. Refer to the style you are using for proper citation format.
