STEM Citation Styles

ACS (American Chemical Society)

AIP (American Institute of Physics)

AMS (American Mathematical Society)

ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) primarily uses a form of the Chicago Manual of Style for their citation and reference style. Below is a link to guidance from ASME, as well as the full Chicago Manual of Style.

CSE (Council of Science Editors) Style has been published as The CSE Manual: Scientific Style and Format for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, currently on the 9th edition.

Zotero

You can configure Zotero to use Trinity College's proxy to identify and download (when available and allowed) full-text documents that Trinity has licensed. Please note, not all publisher's allow for Zotero to automatically download PDFs.


Step 1: Configure the proxy link in Zotero

Go to Edit --> Settings

Under General --> Locate, enter under Base URL:

Step 2: Finding full text

Within your library, you can select one or multiple citations. Right-click and choose "Find Full Text."

A status box will pop up and let you know whether Zotero was successful in downloading the PDF or not.
