Faculty Guide to Accessing Library Resources

Journal Subscriptions

The Library has subscription and access rights to a multitude of journals in electronic format. An A-Z list of these journals and their corresponding coverage is available to browse in  OneSearch  by title or discipline.

If we do not have the journal you are looking for, please remember that Interlibrary loan provides very fast (typically same-day) and cost-efficient access to articles held by other libraries.

You may also submit a purchase request if you require a complete run of a journal. In the comments field of the form, please describe the research or curricular use you have in mind for the title.

Accessing Articles

One of the fastest ways to locate an article is to search in OneSearch. If we have access to the article, it will usually appear in your search results. Click the "Available Online" link to access the full text.

  • If you find an article through one of our databases that does not include full text, you should still be able to click through to the full article by following links. If you reach a dead-end you will need to submit an Interlibrary Loan request.
  • If you find an article on Google Scholar, you will only be able to access it if you are on Trinity's network, or you have logged in with EZproxy. A good habit is to always search Google Scholar by starting from the Library's A-Z-Database list. This ensures you are recognized as part of Trinity from the beginning of your search.
