Virtual tour of the Library

When is the Library open?

Throughout the academic year, our library remains open every day of the week, including weekends. The 24-hour zone within the library is available for access at all times using a valid Trinity ID card. However, please note that other spaces within the library may have varying opening and closing times, so it's essential to check the schedule for specific areas you wish to visit.

Reserve a study space

You can reserve study spaces at the Library in convenient 2-hour segments. Additionally, we offer specialized workspaces for activities like virtual reality and podcast recording. Study rooms are popular, especially around exam periods, so please take advantage of the reservation system.

Explore: finding books, journals and more

Book shelvesBegin your exploration of the Library's extensive resources with OneSearch—a fantastic starting point. It provides access to a diverse range of materials, including books, journal articles, textbooks, news, streaming videos, and audio collections. Not only can you access online and digital resources through OneSearch, but you can also discover physical books available on the shelves in Trinity's Library.

In the Course Reserves collection, you can find a selection of textbooks and course materials that are accessible to students. If you need any of these materials, you can make a request in-person at the Library and Information Technology Desk.

If you require assistance in locating a book on the shelves, don't hesitate to ask! Simply visit the Library and Information Technology Desk, where the staff will gladly guide you or find someone who can assist you with your search.

Borrowing books from the library

You can request and borrow books from the Library's main collection for a period of 28 days. Borrowing items from the library is completely free, but do keep in mind that charges may apply if you misplace or lose something you borrowed.

To check out books, make use of the Library's self-checkout station conveniently located on Level A, right next to the Library & Information Technology Desk.

If you can't find a specific book within Trinity's library, don't fret! There are options to expand your search. You can explore and request books from other libraries beyond Trinity. Additionally, if the book you need isn't currently available in our library, you can request that we purchase a copy for you to borrow.

You can find many textbooks and course materials in the Course Reserves collection, which is located at the Library and Information Technology Desk. You can borrow these materials for up to 3 hours at a time so that you have enough time to use them for your assignments.

Printing, scanning and copying in the Library

Library & Information Technology Services provides convenient access to printers, scanners, and copiers for your use. At the beginning of each semester, all students receive $30.00 of free printing credit. If you need more printing funds, you can add additional dollars through Bantam Bucks.

To print a file, such as an assignment or paper, simply email it as an attachment from your @trincoll.edu email account to bantamprint@trincoll.edu. Once sent, you can easily select your file at any of the printers on Levels A and B in the Library. For more detailed instructions, refer to the Public Printing Guide.

The cost for printing and copying is $.05 per 8.5"x11" black and white page. For color prints and larger sizes, additional charges apply. Please double-check your settings before printing to avoid any unexpected costs.

Scanners are located on Level A across from the Library and Information Technology desk. The scanning service to email or save to a USB device is free of charge, providing you with a convenient way to digitize your documents.
